New construction of a single-family house in Seewen, Schwyz –
Modern farmhouse in an agricultural zone

Demolition and new construction of a single-family house in Seewen, Schwyz, carried out in a strictly regulated agricultural zone. The project is a modern interpretation of the region’s traditional farmhouse, featuring a timber slat façade, timber frame construction and a carefully developed spatial concept that combines elegance, comfort and durability.

The building requirements were demanding: strict regulations from the Office for Spatial Development, as well as differing conditions imposed by other authorities (forestry, water management and civil engineering), had to be taken into account. Nevertheless, we were able to create a single-family home that integrates harmoniously into the landscape and can accommodate a 30% extension without difficulty.

The project was very positively received by all parties involved, including neighbouring property owners entitled to raise objections, and reflects our experience in complex building projects in Schwyz and Central Switzerland. It illustrates how we develop practical and creative solutions within challenging regulatory frameworks to successfully deliver projects.
